Opening ceremony - Day 1

During the first day of the opening ceremony, His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche honored us by cutting the ribbon and giving precious teachings.

We were also honored by the presence of Ven. Rabten Rinpoche and Geshes from the Rabten Choling Center in Switzerland, Ven. Kalden Rinpoche and Djampa Samten from the Jampel Pawo Center in Brazil, Ven. Tsem Rinpoche assistant and students from the Kechara Center in Malaysia, Ven. Domo Rinpoche representatives from USA, Geshes and students from the Trijang Buddhist Institute in the USA , as well as many Dharma friends and students from around the world.

Opening ceremony - Day 2
16 August 2015

 

In presence of all the Venerables Rinpoches, Geshes, students and friends from the region, Fernand and Joceline Niquay of the Atikamekw Nation from Manawan conducted a blessing of the land ceremony to welcome the center , followed by a welcoming speech by the honorable Sophie Astri, Deputy Mayor of Ste Sophie, in presence of the councilmen Normand Aubin, Eric Jutras et Guy Lamothe.

Representatives from several centers and associations gave a welcoming speech including Mr Dinh Vo-Ngo from the Moncton Buddhist Center in New Brunswick, Mr Djampa Samten from the Jampel Pawo center in Brazil and Mrs Tsering Lhamo from the Canadian Gelukpa Association.
