Visitor guide

People of all religious and non-religious backgrounds are welcome at CMT. CMT is a non-smoking establishment and is maintained by the monks and volunteers. It is a friendly environment conducive to conversation and Dharma discussion. CMT has a parking area in the entrance. CMT has a library of more than 1000 books, and a small bookstore with a selection of books as well as ritual and Tibetan objects.

To attend teachings at CMT, please wear comfortable and respectful clothing, and remove your shoes before entering the Gompa (meditation room). At Teacher Entrance, stand and bow slightly and remain standing until the Lama completes his prostrations and takes his seat. After the Lama is seated, you may engage in your prostrations as a sign of respect to the Lama or stand quietly and pay your respect and then proceed quietly to your seat. At Teacher Exit, stand and bow slightly, and remain standing until he has completely exited the area. Pictures and recording are forbidden during the teachings but we invite you to take pictures of the beautiful surroundings.

CMT operates solely on Donations and we are grateful for your generosity.
