During these teachings, Ven. Zawa Tulku Rinpoche will grant the traditional oral transmission (lung, ལུང་ in Tibetan) of Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche's Lamrim, as well as a practical commentary to effectively engage on the path to enlightenment.

What is Lamrim?
The Lamrim or "The Stages of the Path of Enlightenment" is an organization of all the Buddha's teachings in the form of gradual, structured stages.

What is Jorcho?
Jorcho (Tib. སྦྱོར་ཆོས་ - also spelled Jorchö or Jor-Chö), also called the Necklace of the fortunate, is an integral part of Pabongka Rinpoche's Lamrim. Jorcho is a set of Tibetan Buddhist preliminary practices. It includes practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhicitta (the aspiration to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all beings), rejoicing in one's own and others' merit, and other meditations to prepare the mind for deeper realization on the Buddhist path. Jorcho provides a structured way to prepare the mind and body for more advanced spiritual practice.

Ganden Ngamchoe, literally “Ganden Offering of the Twenty-Fifth Day,” or Lama Tsongkhapa Day, is a celebration of the anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa’s parinirvana. It is celebrated on the 25th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan calendar. This year, Lama Tsongkhapa Day falls on Sunday, December 14. Traditionally a day of light offerings, there are many other practices one can do to celebrate and create merit on this special day. Join us on this most auspicious occasion as we celebrate with a Tsog offering at Tsongkhapa Meditation Center.

What is Nagas practice ?
Nagas are serpent spirits classified as one of the eight classes of gods and demons in Tibetan Buddhism. It is said that they live beneath the surface of the earth, in water, in trees or rocks, and are believed to possess miraculous powers and various material and spiritual riches. They are considered very pure beings and fierce protectors of nature. It is said that they can cause various diseases when irritated by the polluting habits of human beings.

Practices dedicated to Nagas are special healing methods aimed primarily at restoring balance in our relationship with the environment. When we ignore the environmental impact of our actions, we risk disrupting our ecosystem, which can lead to numerous physical and psychological illnesses, many of which are difficult to treat according to Western medical paradigms. Some of these conditions, such as certain psychological disorders, chronic fatigue, autoimmune diseases, and even cancer, are traditionally considered in Tibetan Buddhism to be caused by nagas and would be directly related to our dysfunctional ecological interactions.

The practice of 21 Taras allows one to meditate on each of her qualities and thus produce a state of mind of the nature of these qualities, leading to liberation from all suffering.
